What If God Was One of Us

If God had a name, what would it be
And would you call it to his face
If you were faced with him in all his glory
What would you ask if you had just one question
And yeah , God is great yeah , God is good

If God had a face what would it look like
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus and the Saints and all the Prophets
What if god was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
Just trying to make his way home
Like a Holy rolling stone
Back up to heaven all alone
Just trying to make his way home
Nobody calling on the phone
Except for the Pope maybe in Rome...

Joan Osborne / What If God Was One of Us lyrics

Really liked this post. The thought of being kind to everyone comes to mind, lest we "entertain angels unawares".

de-a dreptul înfiorător!... tu pui într-o singură postare cât alţii abia adună într-un an!

Superb, Wind! If it is true that God created us in His own image, I think you have captured His spirit in the faces of those you have photographed. Excellent, exciting work. Bravo!

Hello Wind, and thank you... for every face, a story; beautifully captured. Christmas always lead my thoughts to Romania, 1989. Remember it like yesterday.

Portrait photography might be the most interesting to look at, I think. The viewer can examine each photo carefully for an extended period of time and continue to see more and more features which often reveal the subject's life and personality. You have some great work here, Wind.

I really like the blending of black and white with color. Very effective.

Hi Wind, Once again a great series of images and music and processing on life, aspirations, dreams, struggle and pain. Some things in life we can not answer as we are finite beings but it's how we deal with it that counts.
There are a lot of quality images I like 1, 4, 18, 22, 28, 30 & 31... but I have to pick out number 24 as I could write a book about this one. I'm trying desperately heard to determine whether the water bottles are full or empty. If they are, it could be a symbol of the Water of Life.
Hey, is Santa on his lunch break... removing his beard and listening to his ipod !! Ha ha.
My best wishes, J

Stunning shots of everyday people going about their everyday life. Well done again.

I love how you have captured the essence of the soul of all these people and that god could actually be one of them! I posted something similar today about this although yours is much more eloquent, as usual! You are always just so "right on" with the photo, the music. They meld and mesh so thoughtfully. Christ was, as we all know from the story, just a poor, homeless person, born to an unmarried woman. He COULD be one of these people, couldn't he? Would we recognize him? Would we treat him right? Makes you think. You make us think.

poze bine facute, expresii si situatii bine alese.in rest despre titlu nu stiu ce sa zic.ramane in suspensie.

In rest, inca o serie fabuloasa, marca WIND.

God is in everyone of us including the people you've so skillfully photographed.

Osborne's lyrics and the video serve as a powerful background to the variety of portraits displayed in your posts.

Very inspiring and spiritual entry. You have captured the mind of individuals who could be God. In Shinto, we have millions of deities. So everybody can be God in our country!
